Aiven’s CLI Create Command Parameters
[Aiven CLI] allows to manage and query Aiven services from the preferred terminal
One of the most important commands is the service creation which can be done with
avn service create
The service create command accepts the following parameters
- Service Name: the service name, is the reference of the service within Aiven, must be unique per Project
- Service Type: identified by the
-tflag, allows to chose which type of service we want to instantiate. The list of available services types can be obtained with
avn service types
- Cloud Region: the cloud region where we want to deploy our services, a list of available cloud regions can be obtained with
avn cloud list
- Service Plan: the plan associated with the service, driving the amount of resources available and associated hourly cost. The list of available plans and related cost depend on the Service Type and Cloud Region chosen. For a
kafkaservice deployed onaws-eu-south-1region, the list of available plans can be obtained with
avn service plans -t kafka --cloud aws-eu-south-1
